“A most enjoyable day!!! Exploring La Huasteca Canyon was both gratifying and fascinating. The views are breath-taking and the walk gave us a welcomed light workout. Experiencing nature with Polo Barrán as our guide, helped us understand the area. He pointed out and explained the different sites, drawing from his knowledge as a rock climber himself. Always aware of his group, he made sure we were safe and comfortable. He was well prepared with water, energy drinks, snacks and even masks. And took some great pictures for us. Back in the city, at Polo’s suggestion, we had lunch at an authentic Monterrey Taquería (delicious!!!) and indulged in some traditional Mexican…”

Confirm where English commentary is provided before booking.

“We booked the 6 h tour without the viewpoints (miradores) but found ourselves on a 10 h tour with miradores which was not clear to us in the beginning. If you are staying in San Cristobal book the tour at one of the many tour companies von the street "Real de Guadeloupe", it only costs half of the price here, which means 600 MXN = 30 €. The canyon is absolutely amazing. I would always do the boat trip again. Chiapas is nice. A stay of 1-2 h is sufficient.”

“I told them twice that I changed my accommodation but they forgot to pick me up. Also I went to their office and ask if the Miradores del Canõn are definitely included. They said yes. When I arrived at the Canõn they told me that it is just possible to do the bootstour and to visit the city. But that was not true because friends of mine were on their way to the viewpoints of the cañon at this point. I went on the boat and really could not enjoy it because I was sad that I can not see Miradores. After the tour they told me that I can…”

“We made this tour as 4 people with Gonzalo on March 24, 2025. I travel a lot and this tour was the worst experience I ever had. The tour supposed to start at 9 am, but nobody showed up. After trying to contact them and GYG for 45 minutes, tour provider and GYG solved the issue and agreed to take us at 10 am, 1 hour later than usual. Our “tour guide” was not an actual guide but a person who knew the area. He didn’t speak English, although we HAVE paid for an English tour. We arrived to the port for the boats for Sumidero Canyon. “Le canyon est vraiment magnifique, surtout vu du bateau. Les promontoires sont sympas mais pas exceptionnels, sachant que cela augmente énormément la durée de transport (trop longue du coup) Par contre la sortie bateau est vraiment top, avec de bonnes explications du capitaine. Nous avons pu voir oiseaux, singes et crocodiles dans un décor somptueux. L’arrêt à Chiapa de Corzo vaut le détour. Dommage que l’horaire de retour n’ait pas été respecté”
