Teotihuacan Early Access Guided Tour with optional Lunch

1.Teotihuacan Early Access Guided Tour with optional Lunch

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 6,138 reviews · 8 hours (approx.) · from $39Our pick

Leave central Mexico City at 6:20 a.m. for Teotihuacan before the worst heat and crowds. A bilingual guide leads you along the Avenue of the Dead, past major pyramids, murals, and temples, followed by an obsidian workshop and optional Mexican lunch. Guides such as Alan, Antonio, Lily, and Alex have earned especially warm praise, but lunch and shopping stops may not suit everyone.

“Everyone was kind and helpful. The bus ride was comfortable. The food after was pretty ok too. Once getting to the site I would ask for your ticket. We decided to use the bathroom at gate 2 and they wouldn’t let us in because we didn’t have the site ticket. So make sure and get that. We had to buy another one to get back in. I would also suggest that starting early at the moon pyramid would make more sense. By the time we got there it was crowded. These are just my ideas but still I enjoyed it.”

“I would not book any tour through viator again. It was extremely hard just to get the meeting point and the time from the agency taking us. Although they did email me about 8 hours before the excursion, it was a headache. Everyone on the tour got wrist bands for a free buffet however, viator did not offer that option. 100 percent recommend the tour it was awesome but do not book through here, majority of other couples on the bus said they booked at their hotel and/or Expedia”

“Lots of pros: well organized and fun tour for adults, teens and kids who can swim, small group 12 in a van/3 parties so pickup was fast. BEST part was our guide Lalo and driver Jajo. Lalo was super knowledgeable and entertaining, and he cares deeply about cultural and human connections. He taught us a lot about the history of Mayan culture, Mexico and its amazing people. Cons: worst part was that we had no towels and were freezing after 2 cold swim (same for other family with 4 younger kids who were real troopers). We all assumed Cancun Adventures would provide towels… I checked listing and re-read emails they…”

“This was a great adventure and seeing Chichen Itzá was the highlight for us. We wished we had more time at this stop but we were able to see everything (just had to move fast). The cenote was also amazing and on the way out we came across an example of a traditional home where a woman was cooking and handing out homemade tortillas - AMAZING. The facilities here were quite beautiful and the swimming is fun but crowded. Visiting Valladolid was interesting as well but our least favorite stop if we had to pick one. We are both vegans and the food at the buffet was limited for us,…”

It was just a quick photo opportunity. Once we got to the jet skis the fun really began. They did a great job preparing us to use the equipment in a safe way and making sure we could communicate with hand signals if there were any issues.
