Guides such as Santiago, Lalo, Jessie, and Mario have earned praise for clear explanations and careful water support. Expect long drives, bumpy roads, late lunch, and no personal cameras in the cenote.

“Lots of pros: well organized and fun tour for adults, teens and kids who can swim, small group 12 in a van/3 parties so pickup was fast. BEST part was our guide Lalo and driver Jajo. Lalo was super knowledgeable and entertaining, and he cares deeply about cultural and human connections. He taught us a lot about the history of Mayan culture, Mexico and its amazing people. Cons: worst part was that we had no towels and were freezing after 2 cold swim (same for other family with 4 younger kids who were real troopers). We all assumed Cancun Adventures would provide towels… I checked listing and re-read emails they…”

“Cenote was amazing! Snorkeling in calm water was fun too! Saw all sorts of fish. Also, when you get out of the water butterflies will surround you to get the fresh water dripping from you. Mitch picked us up on time and got us where we needed to go safely. Omar was a great tour guide and made the adventure fun”

★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 446 reviews · 6 hours 30 minutes (approx.) · from $189

This 6.5-hour Cancun Adventures tour links Tulum’s Maya ruins, Cenote el Sueño, Akumal turtle snorkeling, and lunch at Punta Venado Beach Club. Guides such as Felix, Mario, Paulina, and David have been praised for clear history and friendly care. Expect an early pickup, bumpy roads, late lunch, and a maximum group of 12.

“This was an amazing trip; well organized with an excellent tour guide who did all the activities with us. We loved covering all 3 experiences in one day. Only downside is that we were very hungry after 6 hours and felt that a snack after the 1st excursion (that we didn't like) wasn't enough; we would have preferred a sandwich and fruit after the 2nd excursion. Having lunch at the end of the day on the beach was welcomed and delicious!”

★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 304 reviews · 7 hours (approx.) · from $332

Start with Tulum’s sea-facing Maya ruins, then take a short boat ride to snorkel among fish, rays, and possible sea turtles. Finish at Yax-Muul’s freshwater cenotes, with tacos, water, private transport, and a bilingual guide included. Guides such as Alma, Arturo, and Mariano are praised for their friendly, flexible service.

“We did the private tour and Alma was an amazing tour guide! Very knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to work with. We had plenty of time at each location, and we never felt rushed—we could go at our own pace. We had a group of 10, with 2 adults, and 8 kids ranging in age from 7-18. Everyone had a great time and this was their favorite activity of our trip—and it’s usually impossible for us to find something that EVERYONE in our group likes. I would a million percent recommend this to anyone.”
