“Well worth day, guided by Audomaro and his friend, our driver! I could do it all over again! Despite pickup being late due to thunder storms and floods the previous night all well amazingly well. Communication with Amigo tours is flawless and they inform you about every little change like of the pick os even 5 min late but anyway... Van that drove us around very comfortable and clean. Knowledge of the guide exceeded expectations (Audomaro after a little chat gathered that I have extensive knowledge of Mayans) Our guide was on top of that very kind and approachable. “I really have nothing bad to say about this experience. I was nervous because I read some questionable reviews. But the trip was great. We purchased the more expensive package without playa del Carmen. pMildred our guide was wonderful We got picked up on a bus. We never got transferred to any vans. The bus was spacious and with AC We didn’t get to spend much time at Tulum because the process of taking a shuttle cart into the park takes some time. But we got to see the major sites and the sea Coba was so much fun, We had some tricycles (almost like an open rickshaw with driver)…”

Hotel pickup, air-conditioned transport, site visits, lunch, and a maximum group size of 30 are included, but extra fees apply.

“This trip is a long one so prepare yourself for a LOT of driving! We had a great guide, Tony, and driver, Pepe. The ruins were all very interesting. Glad we opted for bicycle taxi at Coba since the whole trip was a lot of walking. The buffet was very rustic and food not really to our liking. It was an incredibly hot and humid day in October so that affected our experience as well. There was a Mayan shaman at the Cenote who performed a cleansing ceremony which was cool until he picked all the obvious non-hispanic looking people to receive a piece of obsidian jewelry for a hefty…”

Guides such as Zeferino, Jaime, Arturo, and Francisco bring Mayan history to life. Expect hotel pickup, long drives, possible bus changes, and extra fees at several stops.

“It’s a long 12-14h trip. You get to get up very early to be picked up and need to get off the bus to join another bus in the middle. Pros: you see everything in one day. Guide and driver friendly and working hard. No mandatory purchase. Very detailed guide at archaeologic site. Cons: you have to bring your snack and water. Since your early 6:30 breakfast, you won’t get fed til 3:30pm . And you walk quite a lot and sweat a lot. So not good for diabetic people or with other medical conditions. Alternative is to book an 8h Tulum trip instead of 4x1”

Spend about 10 hours exploring Tulum, Jaguar Park’s Mayan Museum, Coba, and Multum Ha Cenote with an English-speaking guide. Hotel pickup, lunch, water, transport, and site admissions are included, though Tulum’s $45 adult or $30 child access charge is paid separately in cash. Groups are limited to 15.

“The whole experience was great. Jesus and Marcela were absolutely great. Friendly, helpful and knowledgable. The selection of places was great and the reduced group made the whole experience very private and distended. Despite being a rather intense trip including several places, it didn’t feel rushed and was not as long day as other excursions with more people. Jesus guided us through the best spots in a small group avoiding the crowds as much as possible. The road time involves a very bumpy road like any other trip in the Yucatán peninsula, other than that, Marcela was an excellent driver. Lunch was ok with a nice setting. Overall highly recommended.”

“I paid for this trip via VIATOR months in advance. My printed ticket said pick-up from 7 a.m. I waited from 6.45 until 7.55 a.m. The coach did not arrive, so I went off and did something else instead. Later, I got a message from the tour company, saying that pick-up would be between 8.20 and 8.35 a.m. So, I lost my money, but this is fairly typical of tourist services in Mexico. NO STARS.”

“LOVED this tour! Tulum ruins was a little busy but incredible! Coba ruins were also incredible and we basically had the main pyramid to ourselves! It was not busy at all! After both ruins our last stop was a buffet lunch and cenote swim! We all got to choose if we wanted to eat or swim first. The buffet was really good and had options for every dietary need. Our group had gluten free, vegan, and dairy free requirements and there were options for everyone. Personally I chose to have pulled pork tacos which were soooo good! The cenote was beautiful and had a rope, swing and cliff jump from…”

“Such a fabulous experience, although I wish we could have gone to Coba first before Tulum. We were fortunate to be able to climb to the top of the pyramid at Coba, which I hear is no longer possible. The Mayan blessing at a local Mayan village was an unforgettable experience. We like supporting the local people. The food was delicious, and the beautiful cenote swim was a great way to cool off. I would highly recommend this tour.”

“I put 3 stars because I’m not completely satisfied with the travel agency . Transalamex . This trip is not so organized. First they took us to a souvenir store for the meeting place. We waited 30-45 mins there before heading to Tulum . Second they took us to our lunch place waited an hour to get lunch while again looking at souvenirs. BTW we got lunch around 2PM!! Third at the end of the tour . Guesse where they took us again another souvenir store. We spent more time at souvenir stores than what we want to see and signed up for.
